Just a short 10-minute drive from Bideford, Happy Paws Dog Field is tucked away in a peaceful corner of the countryside, meaning no long queues, no heavy traffic, and plenty of space to relax and explore.

Since dog fields began popping up across Devon in 2017, we’ve created something a little special. Our secure field is set in a quiet, scenic area with the added bonus of a large gravelled space, ideal for wet weather days.

We also provide a selection of agility equipment if you’d like to train or have some extra fun with your dog. There’s even a doggie podium – perfect for capturing that paw-fect photo of your pooch. The Background To Our Dog Walking Field

Happy Paws Dog Walking Field was born from a simple idea: every dog deserves a safe, open space to run free, explore, and just be a dog. As dog lovers ourselves, we saw the need for secure, off-leash environments where dogs of all sizes and temperaments could enjoy nature without worry.

Our secure dog walking field provides a peaceful, private setting for quality time between dogs and their humans, including a large, dry area for those days when it is wet underfoot. Agility training equipment will also be available for your use.

Our Story

Happy Paws began as a passion project on a piece of land we originally bought for a plant nursery. When we noticed how much our own dogs loved the freedom of roaming safely, we decided to create a dedicated space where other dog owners could enjoy the same experience. After months of careful planning, fencing, and thoughtful design, Happy Paws Dog Field opened its gates—not just to dogs, but to a growing community of responsible and loving pet owners.
